El Bicentenario de la Independencia de Mexico

1. Busca cinco ciudades en los Estados Unidos que van a celebrar el bicentenario de México. ¿Cómo lo van a celebrar?

          - Houston, Texas; Los Angeles, California; Chicago, Illinois; Little Rock, Arkansas; Washington D.C.

  In Washington D.C., they will have many people of Mexican ethnicity performing at the Kennedy Center. In Little Rock, they will be having many educational and cultural events, including festivals. In Chicago, there will be a variety of festivites, and in Los Angeles there will be a festival as well, and a parade. And finally, in Houston, they will be celebrating with festivals, dancing, music, art shows, film festivals, and concerts.

2.  ¿Qué celebraciones van a  haber en México.

        They will have the usual festivities, with the ringing of the bell and such, but some of their bigger projects for 200 years include: Constructing a 104 ft. arch in Mexico City, A marking of the historical routes that were traveled on during the Mexican Revolution and the Mexican War of Independece. Also, in Guanajuato, nearly 245 acres will be marked off to have a huge fair full of cultural events.

      - Quince de Septiembre alrrdedor cinco y media a las noche. El presidente toca la campana en Palacio Nacional.

5.  ¿Cómo vamos a celebrarlo nosotros?

       - Vomos cocinar, y comar y mirar el pelicula.
